About Me | philosophy

I'm currently a continuing lecturer (the UK equivalent of an assistant professor) in the department of philosophy at the University of St. Andrews, and a member of the Arché Philosophical Research Center. Before coming to St. Andrews, I was a PhD student at Yale University and a research fellow at the Australian National University.

When I'm not doing philosophy, I like to read and write poetry and fiction. I played the violin until I was in my mid 20s, but these days I'm mostly a listener; I love classical music, metal, hip hop, and a bunch of stuff in between. I also play hockey, Olympic lift, train with kettlebells, and run a small athletic and personal training business.
